In Spring 2024, as part of my capstone project, a classmate and I partnered with Boulder County School of Integrated Studies to design and install protective barriers for 20 newly planted trees. Our objectives were to develop barriers that prevent climbing, eliminate sharp or hazardous elements, and accommodate the trees’ growth over time.
