I studied product design at CU Boulder, then spent two years on a cabinet shop floor, building, installing, and running the CNC. That taught me what a drawing can't show: how wood moves from the shop to the home, where design intent gets lost between the drafter and the finished product, and what it costs when a detail doesn't survive contact with a real room.
