I studied product design at CU Boulder, then spent two years on a cabinet shop floor — building, installing, and running the CNC. That taught me what a drawing can't: how wood moves between a shop and a house, where design intent goes missing between the drafter and the finished object, and what it costs when a detail doesn't survive contact with a real room.
